The code requirements are specific: an exit door has to open in a single motion, without a key or special knowledge, with the bar set at the mounting height the code calls for — and a fire-rated door needs a fire-rated exit device to match. We fit rim, mortise, and vertical-rod hardware to suit the door, and we repair what’s already installed: sticking latches, bars that have lost their spring, failed alarm units, and doors that no longer latch behind the bar.

Because these are working entrances, not just emergency exits, we also handle what surrounds the bar — outside trim with a keyed cylinder where you want re-entry, and electric strikes or access-control tie-ins so staff can badge in from outside while the exit stays free-swinging from inside.
